![]() Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog. Today, I have another recently completed assignment to post. For our Math and Science course, we were tasked with completing a Unit plan for a specific Grade and Strand. Jessica, Olivia, and I chose to create a Unit for a Grade 5 class under the Data Management and Probability strand. We presented our introductory lesson to our class where we had to review the parts of a graph (labels, titles, intervals, scale, etc.). After, we split the class into groups to complete various graphing task cards. Our classmates enjoyed the Pear Deck presentation about the parts of a graph and the task cards. The lesson was hands-on and had students interacting with one another while completing their graphs. The lesson was also engaging as it encouraged student participation. We gave no prompts for what the graph had to look like. The only stipulation was for the graph to have the proper parts. This became a student-centered lesson with the teachers circulating the room to check on student work. Below, I have linked our Unit Plan if you wish to take a look! It was very fun to do with our class, so I know your class will like it too! I hope you enjoy looking at our Unit Plan! Please leave any feedback or comments below! Take care, Miss. Starkey :)
